A weekend with the Wise clan at serene and beautiful Giant's Castle:

Dad was home for the whole Easter weekend, which was such a treat.

We are feeling a little happier at being alive and have even started to laugh, especially when mum is not even trying to be funny. But unfortunately all the emotion gets a bit much and we usually end up in tears.

Smiles - unfortunately there are still more winds than smiles, though!

Benjamin Logie Wise was born on 14th December 2007, just before midnight, weighing in at 3.87 kg. He is keeping us on our toes!

The time draws ever nearer....

We had our last little weekend adventure, just the two of us - a morning in Durbs. Involving a lovely little Italian trattoria, and choosing my somewhat belated 30th birthday present - a beautiful Kaross wall hanging.

Life in 'Maritzburg continues at its moderate pace. Rob was doing some DIY in the kitchen when he heard the great news that he'd passed his primaries. HUGE relief.

We got swept up in Rugby World Cup fever, and for a few days after the win the country basked in a sense of togetherness and optimism.

I am drawing near to D-day with a certain level of trepidation and have started packing a bag of obscure things I never new existed.
